description
According to viscosity (degree of fluidity) grading, higher the grade, stiffer the Bitumen. Tests are conducted at 60 C and 135 C, which represent the temperature of road surface during summer (hot climate, similar to northern parts of India) and mixing temperature respectively. The penetration at 25 C, which is annual average pavement temperature, is also retained. Viscosity Grade Bitumen is petroleum grade bitumen, which produced from fractional vacuum bottom which comes from distillation of crude oil, which feasible appliance and behavior changes according to its temperature.
It is suitable for temperature under 30 degree centigrade. It has high penetration value as compared to VG-30. ( i.e the value 85). Absolute Viscosity is 1100
applications
VG-10 BITUMEN is widely used in spraying applications such as surface-dressing and paving in very cold climate in lieu of old 80/100 Penetration grade. It is also used to manufacture Bitumen Emulsion and Modified Bitumen products. VG-10 is mostly used in spraying applications such as surface dressing and Paving in very cold climate instead of 80/100 penetration bitumen grade. It is also used to produce Bitumen Emulsion and Modified Bitumen products.
